| In 1825, William Lord began constructing a brick dry goods store on Main Street in Kennebunk—the very building that is today the focal point of The Brick Store Museum. | The Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of American art in its elegantly appointed galleries. Such great names in 18th- and 19th-century American art history as Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Sully, Thomas Eakins, Eastman Johnson, Fitz Hugh Lane, Frank Benson, Childe Hassam, and Maurice Prendergast are represented in the museum's permanent collection. | Ogunquit Museum of American Art |
| The OMAA is the only museum in the State of Maine devoted exclusively to the exhibition and collection of American Art. The Permanent Collection includes over 1500 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, photography and graphics. It houses one of the largest collections of ceramic sculpture by Carl Walters watercolors by Eliot O’Hara oils by Henry Strater and drawings and sculpture by Isabella Howland.
