| Louisville Visual Art Association/Water Tower |
| The Water Tower is a 19th century historic landmark on the bank of the Ohio River. It is also the home of Louisville’s leading contemporary art center, the Louisville Visual Art Association. A major monument of the Greek Revival style, the building with its 169-foot standpipe tower was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1971. | The Museum collects artifacts, costumes, paintings, drawings, photographs, documents, and oral histories. Artifacts relating to dialing life include vernacular objects such as: cobblers tools, cooking utensils, quilts, amusement park prizes, opera glasses, chimney pots and architectural details, business ledgers and advertisements, bottles and crocks, a collection of beer paraphernalia, handmade cast nets for fishing and net making tools. | The Kentucky Derby Museum |
| The permanent collection of the Kentucky Derby Museum consists of more than 20,000 items documenting the history and tradition of the Kentucky Derby and Thoroughbred racing. The collection consists of varied items in all types of media, including racing trophies sculpture prints and paintings racing attire such as saddles, saddlecloths, halters and silks and souvenir items such as Derby glasses, programs and tickets.
